Infrastructure

Data centre, virtualisation, storage and backup built to survive a bad day.

The problem, in practice

  • Backups run, and nobody has restored from them under time pressure.

  • Capacity is managed by adding more, because nothing says what is actually consumed.

  • Hardware is out of support, and the upgrade keeps losing to more urgent work.

What we deliver

  • Servers & Storage

Sizing, refresh and storage design driven by measured workload rather than by a vendor configurator — including what happens when a component fails.

  • Virtualization

Hypervisor cluster design, resource policy and right-sizing — including the licensing consequence of the design, which is where surprises usually arrive.

  • Data Centre

Power, cooling, cabling and physical resilience designed together — with the environmental monitoring that turns a facility into something you can operate.

  • Backup & Disaster Recovery

Backup design, immutability and tested recovery against agreed RPO and RTO — because an untested restore is a belief, not a capability.

How you get it

Infrastructure, delivered the way you need it

The same domain looks different depending on who runs it. Pick the delivery model that matches how your team is set up — each one is a real engagement, not a package name.

Questions we are asked

  • Should we move this to the cloud instead?

Sometimes. The honest answer depends on the workload, the data residency requirement and the cost model over years rather than months, and the assessment is what produces it. We will say so when the answer is that you should not.

  • How do you test disaster recovery without disrupting production?

Isolated recovery testing, staged by service, with the scope agreed in advance. An untested DR plan and no DR plan differ mostly in what people believe.

  • Can you support hardware we bought elsewhere?

Under a support engagement, yes, subject to the equipment being supportable. Where a vendor's own support has lapsed we say what that means for response times rather than absorbing the risk silently.

  • What happens to our existing licences?

They are an input to the design. Licensing is one of the places where an architecture decision quietly costs or saves a lot, so it is modelled before selection rather than discovered at renewal.

  • How long does a consolidation take?

It depends on how much of the estate is documented and how much has to be discovered. The assessment gives you a staged plan with a duration you can hold us to, and that comes before the number.
